Concentration

In my series, the concept of my art revolves around the natural, genuine expressions people portray in their every day lives. Instead of just focusing on one emotion, I decided to paint a variety in order to convey the diversity of personalities and the authenticity of human feelings. For these pieces, I painted background colors that correlate with the emotion that is being expressed by the subject. I used acrylic paint to coincide with the fact that emotions come & go just as acrylic paint transitions from wet to dry quickly.
